Everything we do is rooted in the energy of the club culture and its ability to bring people together. Open dancefloors; where music, ideas and people meet.

Boiler Room started with a webcam taped to a wall, broadcasting from a warehouse in London, opening a keyhole to the city’s underground. DIY at it’s finest; raw uncut and homemade.

As an independent music platform and cultural curator, we remain true to that history. Connecting club culture to the wider world, on screen and irl through parties, film and video.

Since 2010 we built a unique archive; featuring over 4,000 performance, by more than 5,000 artists spanning 150 cities, enabling everyone regardless of where they live to enjoy the freedom it stands for.

Our remit is to platform music in new ways – sound on for the voices and stories of the fringes of the mainstream.

YOUR ROLE

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To contribute to and manage the smooth running and usage of all marketing, PR and social media campaigns supporting the overall marketing team goals.  Oversee how Boiler Room markets its products to fit the vision and mission of the company. 

 

MAIN DUTIES and EXPECTATIONS 

Strategic Marketing & Communications:

  • Contribute to the overall delivery of key marketing goals

  • Support with the management of the social content calendar in order to grow our audience, reach and engagement.

  • Be the gatekeeper to core owned and managed channels: Boiler Room website, YouTube, Soundcloud. Scheduling and hands-on management of the publishing of content across these channels. 

  • Lead the scheduling and publishing of Gasworks, our original content chat show. Review and provide feedback on edits. 

  • Manage the process around contesting content rights issues that may occur with labels (training will be provided).

  • Manage the archiving and backup of all Boiler Room content.

  • Proactively input into overall content and marketing strategy.

 Paid Marketing

  • Execute paid marketing plans for Boiler Room campaigns and partnerships across Facebook and YouTube. 

  • Provide regular detailed reporting and analysis on paid campaigns. 

 Content Creation

  • Curate and publish social highlight clips with Adobe Premiere Pro. 

Cross-Functional Relationships within Boiler Room:

  • Work closely with the music & touring, commercial and apparel teams to create and manage the delivery of content that supports brand and partnership campaigns. 

EXPERIENCE:

  •  Proven  experience in a similar role managing social media channels 
  • Proven passion for music

  • Copywriting experience preferable

SKILLS

  • Communicate effectively in verbal and written English 

  • Excellent computer proficiency, specifically Microsoft Word & Excel and Google Drive

  • Present and discuss ideas clearly, and to help translate concepts to the wider team in a detailed and methodical manner

  • Ability to work autonomously and with initiative 

KNOWLEDGE

  • Be an expert in your field 

  • Demonstrate an understanding of best practices in your field 

  • Demonstrate an understanding of latest industry standard including;

  • trends

  • tools and software

  • appropriate national and international standards

  • Be open to training and development
